GAMEDAY PARKING & SHUTTLES

During the 2024 Football season, there is no additional cost for parking at West Point.

Only Army A Club Members, Season Ticket Members, and Premium Tailgate Purchasers have the ability to request specific parking lots. Fans purchasing through Army West Point Athletics will have access to General Parking passes upon checkout when purchasing tickets. You must enter via the gate listed on your digital general parking pass. For fans who did not purchase directly through Army West Point Athletics, please enter through Washington Gate on gameday. ADA parking is only available via the Stony Lonesome Gate. Please have your ADA placard visible upon entry.


Fans Are Encouraged To Arrive Early On Gamedays

  • Enhanced security measures remain in effect at West Point and at stadium access points for all home football games.

  • ALL fans 17 and older must present a valid U.S. issued ID (license or passport) to enter West Point. For more information, Click HERE. We strongly encourage all fans to arrive as early as possible to avoid delays.

  • Parking lots open six hours prior to kickoff.

  • Parking spaces are limited and tailgating must be confined to a small area around your vehicle. Traffic lanes and adjacent parking spaces cannot be blocked at any time.

  • Spectators wishing to park together must enter the lots at the same time, displaying matching passes. Saving parking spots is prohibited.

  • Fans must enter through the gate indicated on their parking pass.

  • Fans without parking passes on game days should enter through WASHINGTON GATE.

  • ADA and wheelchair accessible parking and bus transportation is available by entering STONY LONESOME GATE and parking in H Lot. Fans requiring this assistance DO NOT need an advance parking pass for parking in H Lot. H Lot is available for transportation to the parade ground and to Gate 1 and Gate 5 of Michie Stadium (1 Stony Lonesome Road, West Point, NY).

  • Vehicles, other than RV's cannot be larger than 8'4"x20'.

  • RV's are parked at North Dock. Buses must park at the ski slope, and shuttle buses are available to transport fans on post. For RV or Bus parking, call the ticket office at 1-877-TIX-ARMY.

  • Green Passes: Enter Thayer Gate (674 Thayer Road. West Point, NY)

  • Red Passes: Enter Stony Lonesome Gate (1 Stony Lonesome Road. West Point, NY)

  • Blue Passes: Enter Washington Gate (917 Washington Road. West Point, NY)

  • Gold Passes: Enter Washington Gate

  • General Public will be directed to Thayer Gate or Washington Gate.

Fans are reminded that each parking pass constitutes ONE parking space.
Fans who enter a wrong gate will be given the option to park at the gate or they can exit and proceed to the correct gate.


GAMEDAY SHUTTLES

Bus/shuttle service is provided from parking lots to the parade ground/Michie Stadium and post-game.
Fans are recommended to keep in mind their lot location as well as the applicable bus route color to return following the conclusion of the game.

ADA and wheelchair accessible parking accommodations are located in H Lot. Guests with a handicapped license plate, state registration or handicapped parking pass is required to gain entrance to the area. In order to park in H lot, you must enter through Stony Lonesome Gate. Handicapped seating and parking are available through the Army Ticket Office.

FROM NEW YORK CITY:

Head north to the George Washington Bridge/I-95 South. Cross the bridge via the upper deck (no toll in this direction), and stay in the right lane as immediately at the end of the bridge you will exit right on to the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

Approximate driving time from midtown (light traffic): 1 hour, 20 minutes
From LaGuardia Airport (light traffic): 1 hour, 30 minutes
From John F. Kennedy International Airport (light traffic): 1 hour, 45 minutes
Cab fares to West Point from NYC are about $150 without tolls or gratuity

Bus: Short Line Bus offers daily bus service from the New York City Port Authority, near Times Square in midtown Manhattan, to the West Point Visitors Center; one-way trip takes 1 hour 40 minutes. Short Line also has day trip packages with sightseeing and local discounts.

Railroad: Metro-North has rail service from Grand Central Station in mid-town Manhattan, up the east bank of the Hudson. Trains to Garrison, NY, directly across the river from West Point, take approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. If you don't have a car, get off at Peekskill, one stop south of Garrison, where cabs are often waiting. You may want to call to reserve a Highland Falls or Peekskill cab. Driving time from Garrison or Peekskill to West Point is approximately 20 minutes.

Take I-87 (NYS Thruway) South to Exit 16 (Harriman), Follow Route 6 East to Route 293 East.

WHITE/BLUE/GOLD PASSES & GENERAL PUBLIC (NO PASS): Merge Left Onto Route 218 Toward Washington Gate.
GREEN/RED PASSES: Take Route 9W South Toward Stony Lonesome Gate (Red Pass) and Thayer Gate (Green Pass).

FROM South: 

Take I-87 North to Exit 16 (Harriman), Follow Route 6 East to Route 293 East.

WHITE/BLUE/GOLD PASSES & GENERAL PUBLIC (NO PASS): Merge left onto Route 218 Toward Washington Gate.
GREEN/RED PASSES: Take Route 9W South Toward Stony Lonesome Gate (Red Pass) and Thayer Gate (Green Pass).

FROM SouthEAST: 

Take I-287 West Across the Tappan Zee Bridge. Follow to Exit 13N for Palisades Parkway North. Follow the Bear Mountain Traffic Circle. Go Three-Quarters of the Way Around the Circle and Take Route 9W North to West Point.

GREEN PASSES: Take First Exit Toward Thayer Gate (Approx. 2.5 Miles from Bear Mountain Traffic Circle.)
RED PASSES: Take Second Exit Toward Stony Lonesome gate (Approx. 4.5 Miles from Bear Mountain Traffic Circle.)
WHITE/BLUE/GOLD PASSES & GENERAL PUBLIC (NO PASS): Take Third Exit Toward Washington Gate (Approx. 5.5 Miles from Bear Mountain Traffic Circle.)

FROM West: 

Take Route 17 East to Exit 130A (Harriman), Take Route 6 East to Route 293 East.

WHITE/BLUE/GOLD PASSES & GENERAL PUBLIC (NO PASS): Merge Left Onto Route 218 Toward Washington Gate.
